Wabush Mines Receives $2.2M for Manganese Reduction Project

Wabush Mines will benefit immediately from the latest round of funding from ACOA's Atlantic Innovation Fund.  ACOA will contribution $2.2M to the projected $4M cost of the project that will allow Wabush Mines to "assess and evaluate a manganese separation technology on a production prototype to determine whether the technology can be transferred to a full-facility rollout."  If successful, the reduction process could extend mine life by a full decade.
