Adventure and eco-tourism in Labrador West is a high-volume market. The area has world class natural attractions boasting the George River Caribou Herd, the largest caribou herd in the world, a rugged landscape carved by glaciers, and countless rivers and lakes challenge anglers from around the world.

Over 400 km of groomed snowmobile trails provide a backdrop for niche market development.

Sports fishing and hunting attracts adventure enthusiasts from around the world. Labrador West has a strong, well established hunting product supported by a healthy game populations of caribou and black bear and an outfitting industry which has a high degree of quality service, hospitality and professionalism. The recreational fishing market is controlled for development through improved management approaches and the upgrading of fishing lodges to better serve this segment of the market.
